A pavement failure has partially blocked the left southbound lane on Interstate 90/39 near Edgerton, according to a news release from the Wisconsin State Patrol.

The failure was reported at 2:08 p.m. near Highway 59, the release says. Traffic is slowed and the State Patrol encourages southbound drivers to exit at Highway 51, drive south to Highway 59, turn left and return to the Interstate on the Highway 59 onramp.

Rock County continues to clear debris and makes repairs, the release says. Work is expected to continue through the evening.

Drove through this around 8 p.m. The left lane is blocked by flags and cones for about 1/4 mile, that's it. They seem to be satisfied with the integrity of the right lane.
