Harley-Davidson cancels plans to consolidate East Troy facilities
EAST TROY — Harley-Davidson officials decided to cancel previously unveiled plans to consolidate its Buell Motorcycle Company operations in East Troy, an official said Tuesday.
Harley-Davidson spokesperson Rebecca Bortner said the company intended to consolidate five East Troy-based leased facilities into one leased facility to reduce costs and improve long-term efficiency.
Company officials decided against the plan to cut short-term expenditures in face of the current economy, Bortner said.
