MOLINE, ILL.--If UW-Whitewater’s baseball team can duplicate its two-victory Sunday in today’s NCAA Division III regional play, the Warhawks will be headed to the World Series. But matching their 8-3 win over Wartburg and 10-4 victory over Millsaps will be more difficult today. The Warhawks will have to beat top-seeded Carthage College twice to advance to the World Series that will begin Friday at Fox Cities Stadium in Grand Chute. The first game against the Red Men (36-5) begins at 11 a.m. If the Warhawks (29-18) win, the teams meet again at 2 p.m. Carthage has won its only two games in the double-elimination event, while Whitewater has been one win away from elimination since losing its second game of the tournament against Millsaps.
