Warhawks advance; Bucs eliminated

UW-Whitewater advanced with a two-run ninth, while Beloit College was eliminated in NCAA Division III regional baseball action Thursday. The Warhawks took advantage of two ninth-inning errors to shock Washington University, 3-2, in an opening-round game at Moline, Ill. The Warhawks play Millsaps at 4 p.m. today. UW-Stevens Point, which shared the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference title with Whitewater and Oshkosh, knocked off the Midwest Conference champion Buccaneers, 8-2, in the UW-Oshkosh regional.
