Not to be rude, but to the few in here arguing back and fourth and making ignorant comments and wise cracks, please understand that her children come on here to read this. To others, thank you for your wishes and prayers. BTW there is still not much of an update. She is still unconsious, she has wiggled her toes when ppl touch them, so that may be a good sign. Keep her in your thoughts and prayers and I'll do the same.

Yes I used to live in the park with my parents to, 12 years ago. Me and my two sisters went to those schools. We never had any problems out there. Just as an update... the only new news is that Doctors have placed a shunt to drain fluid away from her brain will try to leave a few updates periodically.

I grew up in Orfordville and my parents actually lived in that park a long time ago and I cannot believe how much it has changed. My friend's parents used to own it and it was a very peaceful community, not at all dangerous or trashy. My heart goes out to the victim and her family and I wish her a speedy recovery. I hope that the culprit(s) are brought to justice to protect the rest of the residents.

runrabbitrun: there was a reason for her name not being released...it really wasn't your place to do so. I'm sure her family doesn't appreciate it either.

They actually did not release her name on purpose. You are not suppose to release the names of possible rape victims. I am neice of the victim. I really doubt that it was a hate crime and to who ever said the state journal said she was at a party. Saturday night she went to a barbecue at her neighbor's. (That is what is says) To the other person, no her kids did not see this happen. Thank God, bad enough that her son found her like that. She is surronded by family and friends, I will tell them that your prayers are sent to her. Thank you and keep them going, she's going to need them.

The biggest question yet to be answered is who has the most ridiculous posts, latinmami2 or hannah?

Does anyone know who this woman is? They never listed her name. I live in the Orfordville area and was wondering who she is.

Localboy, is it really your duty to question whether people pray for others? That is just out of line for you to even think, but to ask? Wow. It sure sounds like someone that really doesn't give a care about anyone but yourself.

I sure hope they've posted a guard on her door until she wakes up and can hopefully identify this filth who did this to her.

since they don't have any idea who has done this to her at this point it could be anything including a hate crime. They have no leads yet so there is no telling what actually happened

What would lead anyone to think it's a "hate crime?"

I have known this woman for many years and it breaks my heart that shes laying in the hospital fighting for her life! She treats everyone like family and I will never understand how someone could have done this to her! Please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers!

Looks like we have a lot of people praying. Do you really pray for them?

Either way, to beat a woman this bad seems like there was emotion involved which could mean she knew them. It is a sad deal.

The print edition said that it is believed that she had been laying there since the night before.

Right, it could have been a robbery or hate crime or revenge. Either way it is sad there is no suspect. However, I hope she regains consciousness and reveals her attackers identity and then lives a long healthy life.

"random or sexual in nature"- i don't think i have ever seen anything phrased like this before. This is very horrible I will pray for this woman and when she does wake up I hope she can say whoever did this to her so they can be punished fully
