Tomah guard sendoff Saturday
TOMAH, Wis. (AP) — Family, friends and state officials will send off a Tomah-based Wisconsin Army National Guard unit Saturday.
About 80 soldiers from the headquarters unit of 732nd Combat Sustainment Support Battalion will depart for a month of training in Indiana before deploying to Iraq. The unit will command logistics operations in its assigned area.
The unit received its mobilization order Oct. 3. Soldiers will spend about a year on active duty.
