Sal Dimiceli has seen it firsthand: Hundreds of people in Walworth County are struggling to keep food on the table, and the local food pantries just can’t keep up.

He plans to change that.

Dimiceli, the founder of Time is Now to Help, a nonprofit organization that provides poverty-stricken people with basic necessities, has opened the Walworth County Family Resource Center at the intersection of county H and NN, just outside the city of Lake Geneva.

Eleven food pantries throughout the county serve dozens of people each month on limited supplies of food, Dimiceli said.

The needs continue to grow, and another food pantry—one capable of providing food for hundreds of people each month—will help ease the burden, he said.
