Wis. Supreme Court candidates meet for last debate
MADISON — The last debate between the two state Supreme Court candidates will be broadcast live Friday on public radio and television.
Chief Justice Shirley Abrahamson and Jefferson County Circuit Judge Randy Koschnick will debate for an hour starting at 7 p.m. The event is sponsored by We the People and will include questions from a panel of citizens.
It is the last debate before the April 7 election. The winner will serve a 10-year term that starts in August.
Abrahamson has been on the court for 32 years and is in her 13th year as chief justice. Koschnick has been a judge since 1999 and previously worked 14 years as a public defender.
