An Edgerton School District committee has chosen a Craig High School administrator to lead Edgerton High School next year.

The Edgerton High School Principal Selection Committee chose Mark Coombs after a full day of interviews Thursday, according to a news release from the school district. His contract will be submitted to the school board for approval Monday.

If the contract is improved, Coombs will start July 1 following the retirement of Principal Jim Halberg. Coombs plans to move with his family to the Edgerton School District, the release said.

I've worked under Dr. Coombs for the last 4 or 5 years at Craig. He is fabulous at his job and a pleasure to work for. Edgerton made a great choice. While Craig will be lessened to loose him, Edgerton will be better. Best of Luck Mark!!!
