kitten, contact info is here:

The city says it wants people to call when there is a smell, so they can figure out what's causing it and remediate it.

My 401k is there folks, help yourselves. You will have to screen out the shredded bank investments and the broken stocks though.

Maybe I'm lazy but I search out the spots with little to no junk. When I get it home and spread it out I yank out the plastic shreds and broken glass at that time. I really liked it a few years ago when the city used the big shredding machine to clean up the compost.

My friend uses the same screening method so you're not alone.

I love picking up free loads of the unscreened compost, but it’s full of junk, mostly plastic. I built a 2x4 frame and put some ½” screen on it, and use that to try and filter out the worst of it. But the compost tends to be clumpy, and it’s a lot of work scraping it through the screen with a shovel or trowel. Anybody have a better method to clean up the compost?
