FOX POINT — A robber got more than he bargained for when he targeted a Tae Kwon Do studio in suburban Milwaukee on Tuesday.

The robber thought he could quietly slip in and out of David Kang’s studio in Fox Point with some loot. What he didn’t realize is that he would encounter a Tae Kwon Do master who wasn’t about to let him off the hook.

Kang was giving a private lesson Tuesday and heard someone in his office. Kang found the man going through his closet. Kang grabbed him by the neck and sat him down while he called police.

The robber escaped, and Kang gave chase, finally catching up with the man and holding him by the neck until police arrived.

I'm glad the criminal was apprehended and I'm glad that he wasn't carrying a weapon like a gun.

So this martial art is easy - grab assailant by neck. One takes lessons in that?

Just how stupid do you have to be to not check to see if the Master is or isn't in BEFORE you try to rob him/her?

I'd love to have heard that the cops turned their heads and told Mr. Kang that he has 5 minutes with the dude and we don't hear a thing.
