Traffic flowing normally on Interstate
Interstate 90/39 has been reopened and traffic is flowing as normal after authorities cleared an accident south of Racine Street, a Rock County Communication spokeswoman said.
The accident occurred at about 9:50 a.m. in the eastbound lanes. The Interstate was shut down for a time as crews cleared the scene. A medical helicopter was dispatched to the accident. The number and extent of injuries is unknown at this time.

The crash occurred on I39/90 southbound at milepost 176 at approximately 9:51 a.m.. Rock County Highway Department Truck (Unit 1) was legally parked on the far right shoulder, will all warning lights (including an arrow board) activated, 2-3 feet to the right of the fog line.
County worker Wade Williams was outside the vehicle picking-up debris/trash. A tan Toyota Camry (Unit 2), traveling southbound, crossed the fog line and struck the left rear of Unit 1 with the right front corner of Unit 2. Unit 1 was pushed into the right ditch and came to final rest facing west. Unit 2 came to final rest in the right lane facing east. Tire marks observed at the scene indicated Unit 2 crossed the fog line and struck the legally parked highway truck. County highway worker stated he was picking-up debris and did not witness the crash, just heard it. UW-Hospital nurse relayed that driver of Unit 2 is not able to speak with officers at this time. Driver of Unit 2 was transported by MedFlight to UW-Hospital.
