Doyle meeting with Obama administration officials
MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Gov. Jim Doyle has a series of meetings scheduled over the next two days with members of President Barack Obama's administration to discuss agriculture, energy and environmental issues.
Doyle is in Washington, D.C., on Monday and Tuesday for the meetings.
He and other governors are expected to participate in a symposium Tuesday looking at the economic affects of climate change.
Doyle's office says he will focus on such things as setting goals to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and creating incentives to encourage clean energy.
Doyle also plans to meet with Energy Secretary Steven Chu, EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson and Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack.

BostonBill- What the h#ll is your problem? Whey don't you relax and go have a drink. Original? I laughed at sprouts post because it was funny. Where did I say it was original? Because I voiced my opinion about our Governor that hasn't done a thing for this state (and you all know it) you're going to attack me? I laugh at all of you that talk about change and the better new President and you are too blind to see that our own state needs a bigger change than anything. By the way, we're talking about Doyle here, not Obama for those of you that can't stay on the subject.

The fact is MANY will be leaving the state. Mainly the ones who are supplying JOBS, and a tax revenue. What is the point of staying and supporting a massive government agenda, and being part of an anti business environment? The left has all ready killed states like MI, and CA with double digit unemployment, massive state debt, and sent businesses running from the state as fast as they can. WI is heading down that same path. Companies like Miller/Coors, Menards, are just a few names who have moved part of their operations out of the state.
Not to worry though, many of you on the left are now asking the successful to leave if we don't like it. No problem; just don't be complaining when your taxes explode, and unemployment goes through the roof.

Sprout -- That's the biggest load of elephant dung that I have ever read! Personally, I've met many inbred conservatives, and if that is what you mean by a "higher" party (which summarizes your post) then you must be inbred too.
In the past, I have voted for both conservative and liberal parties. I consider myself a moderate. I have a let live motto. Basically, if you don't hurt me or mine I could give two cents about what you're doing, and both parties are truly guilty of too much intrusion. You're crazy if you do not believe this.
By the way... I have three post secondary degrees, work two jobs (upwards of 15 hour days), hunt, ride a harley, wrench on my old Chevy truck, take care of my wife and kids, and voted for the better President. Now let him do his job. Pass or fail he'll do a hell of a lot better job than the last one!

dudefromjsvl-Because I love this state. I simply don't like our Governor. I didn't vote for him and never would. Those of you that like him, that's great, but you better start seeing the light. Other than taxing the crap out of everything and wasting the tax payers money, he hasn't done anything. Time for a change.

Ya, I've read them, but my point is left or right doesn't matter and that doesn't make someone a moron. Doyle is a terrible Governor regardless.

dudefromjsvl- Right wing morons? Doyle is an idiot and has done nothing for this state. It's alarming he even got voted in. Whether you're left or right, it's a mute point when it comes to his services.

I am fine if Lawton is a little more left. That part doesn't bother me. I just don't like the incompetence that Doyle has shown lately. Hopefully we can get two decent candidates at the next election. If the GOP would put up a candidate that isn't anti everything (choice, equal rights, etc) that person would get some serious consideration.

Doyle will have his hand out to Obama wanting help balancing Wisconsin's budget. Where will the money come from when Doyle's share of the 'stimulus' is gone? You think taxes in Wisconsin are high now? Just wait!

CIM:
Lt. Gov Lawton would make Doyle look like a piker.
Doyle will look like a moderate compared to our Lt. Gov.
On other note, perhaps Gov Doyle and Obama will figure out a way for us to keep our $13 (soon to be $8) a week tax break -- cause Gov Doyle has already spent it. times 15.
