MADISON, Wis. (AP) — President Barack Obama’s administration has made two U.S. Department of Agriculture appointments affecting Wisconsin.

Brad Pfaff was named Wisconsin state executive director for the Farm Service Agency and former state Rep. Stan Gruszynski (gruh-ZIN’-skee) was named state director for rural development.

Pfaff is in his second term on the La Crosse County Board of Supervisors and most recently worked as a policy adviser for Democratic U.S. Rep. Ron Kind.

Gruszynski worked as the director of rural leadership and community development for the Global Environmental Management Center at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. He served 10 years in the state Assembly from 1984 to 1994.
