WAUKEGAN, Ill. — Authorities in Waukegan say they have charged five people in a string of 20 armed robberies in McHenry and Lake counties, as well as in southeastern Wisconsin.

Lake County Sheriff Mark Curran says 42-year-old Michael R. Boyle, of Twin Lakes, Wis., appears to have been the ringleader in robberies, which began April 25 in Antioch.

Also charged Friday were 22-year-old Terrance Corte Walker Jr., of Elgin; 35-year-old Sean M. Kettledon, of Paddock Lake, Wis.; 20-year-old Randy E. O’Brien, of Iron River, Mich.; and a 16-year-old juvenile from Silver Lake, Wis.

Curran said the suspects used replica guns during the robberies and no one was ever injured.

Big deal. Couple of years in jail (where they'll learn how to do it better next time) and out they'll be.
