Several Interstate 43 ramps will be closed next week because of construction, according to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation:

The southbound on- and off-ramps at County X and the northbound on- and off-ramps at Highway 14 will be closed Monday. They're scheduled to reopen Wednesday, July 15.

The Lawson School Road bridge closed from June 15 to July 17.

The northbound I-43 on- and off-ramps at County X will be reopened Monday. The southbound I-43 on- and off-ramps at Highway 14 will be reopened Wednesday.

crafty: Are you taking a poll or have you confused our remarks about the confusing signs being confusing to us and what we say being confusing to you because the whole thing is confusing? It’s a ball of confusion, and the band played on. (apologies to The Temptations)lol

I'm not complaining. A little inconvenience is worth the end result. I just remembered seeing a signboard saying the southbound ramp would be open by the 24th because I am going to Summerfest on the 25th so I had planned on coming home that way. I can take ES out of East Troy home. It's no big deal.

I like the work they are doing. I just need to know the on or off-ramp is closed before I get to it. :)

Next Wednesday.
Do you guys want to drive on it like it was, or do you want it fixed?

I can deal with the hassle of finding alternate routes. This work is way past due. I also thought the southbound hwy 14 off-ramp was to be open by today. Maybe all the rain we had last week delayed the work. I drove through there on Sunday and it didn't look as though it was as far along as it should have.

Getting on and off of I-43 is beginning to sound like an Art Fern, Slauson Cutoff bit..

Are the off-ramps southbound on I-43 opening today or NEXT Wednesday, July 1st? I thought the signs originally indicated they would be open by the 22nd of June, but they're still not open.

Will the suggested detour from I-43 be to take HWY 50 through Delavan instead of exiting on X, since that exit will also be closed?

A list of the exits and when they will be closed and open would be helpful. :/
