Walworth County authorities issue 277 citations, arrest 7 during Phish concert

Walworth County law enforcement authorities issued 277 citations and arrested seven attendees during last weekend’s Phish concert at Alpine Valley Music Theater.

The Walworth County Sheriff’s Office estimated about 70,000 attendees at the Saturday and Sunday performances combined.

Deputies seized 1,364 grams of marijuana, 66 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, 6 grams of cocaine and 15 hits of acid.

The following individuals were arrested:

Michael L. Markert, 29, of Willowbrook, Ill., was arrested for possession with intent to deliver LSD and possession of cocaine.

Bradley W. Byers, 35, of Fayetteville, Pa., was arrested for possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Kevin E. Molihan, 38, of Grahanna, Ohio, was arrested for possession with intent to deliver marijuana, possession with intent to deliver LSD and possession with intent to deliver psilocybin mushrooms.

Chad D. DeMarb, 29, of Machesney Park, Ill., was arrested for possession with intent to deliver marijuana, resisting arrest and obstructing an officer.

Bert A. Ward, 33, of Waverly, Ohio, was arrested for possession with intent to deliver nitrous oxide and resisting arrest.

Two other individuals were arrested on a drug warrant and another warrant for felony operating while intoxicated charges.

The number of citations is divided as follows:

Possession of marijuana: 123

Possession of drug paraphernalia: 59

Disorderly conduct: 7

Operating while intoxicated: 1

Trespassing: 2

Obstructing an officer: 2

Possession of fireworks: 3

Speeding: 30

Non-registration of vehicle: 1

Protective custody (incapacitation due to alcohol): 02

Illegal u-turn: 1

No driver’s license: 2

Once again, I'm sure someone will be calling for the death penalty and I may finally agree. How dare someone make an, "Illegal u-turn" at a Phish concert!!! Hang-em and hang-em high. *s*

1,364 grams equals about 3 pounds ... there'll be some sweet smells wafting from Walworth County when the sheriff "burns" the stash!
