Heat advisory issued
From the National Weather Service:
A heat advisory remains in effect from noon Tuesday to 7 p.m. Tuesday evening.
High temperatures in the upper 80s to lower 90s, and dew points in the upper 60s to around 70, will allow heat index readings to reach the 95 to 100 degree range in many locations away from Lake Michigan this afternoon.
Precautionary/preparedness actions:
A heat advisory means that a period of hot temperatures is expected. The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity will combine to create a situation in which heat illnesses are possible. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
