Storms make noise, cause little damage
Many Southern Wisconsin residents woke early this morning to storms marching across the area.
Tornado sirens were sounded twice--first at 1 a.m. and again at 1:25 a.m--Friday morning in Rock County after the National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated a tornado by Footville and a possible tornado on the west side of Janesville, according to a Rock County Communications Center dispatcher.

Authorities report street flooding in some areas of Janesville, including Palmer Drive, north of Racine Street.
The Department of Public Works removed a tree in the road in the 1500 block of Peterson Avenue on Janesville’s northwest side. A tree also is blocking the 5000 block of Cemetery Road where a Rock County Sheriff's Office deputy is on scene.
There also were a reports of a couple lightning strikes that started a couple tree tops on fire throughout the county. An Alliant Energy transformer also was knocked out by the storm leaving people in Beloit Township without power for a short time around 1:30 Friday morning.
Rock County 9-1-1 dispatchers say they have received 6 reports of damage, most from the high winds.
