Edgerton’s Steve Stricker was at 1 over par after six holes today when the rain-soaked first round of the U.S. Open golf tournament on the Black Course at Bethpage State Park in Farmingdale, N.Y., was suspended for the day. Nobody finished the first round, and play is to resume at 6:30 a.m. Friday. The early lead stood at 1 under par. For a full coverage on Stricker, read Friday’s Janesville Gazette, read online in the Gazette’s E-Edition or check back at GazetteXtra.com.
