Wis. Senate Democrats to take up budget Wednesday
MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The Wisconsin state Senate is scheduled to begin debating the state budget Wednesday.
Senate Democrats met into the night on Monday behind closed doors to discuss changes they want to make to the two-year $62.2 billion spending plan. The Assembly passed its version early Saturday morning.
Democrats were scheduled to resume their secret negotiations on Tuesday afternoon. But the committee that sets the agenda for the Senate announced Tuesday morning that the budget would be debated on Wednesday.
Senate Majority Leader Russ Decker does not like two key changes made to the budget by the Assembly affecting gas taxes and the state's liability laws. Decker supports Gov. Jim Doyle's original proposals.

If Decker succeeds in putting those two provisions back in the budget, he should be run out of the state on a rail.

Why is it they cannot be more public when they plan on screwing us so hard? Its all done behind closed doors. I guess if I was that ashamed I would hide behind closed doors to. Remember this next election and vote these backdoor criminals out of there. Its time for fresh blood and someone who understands what real people go through trying to make ends meet. Big Jim and his croanies must have forgotten who they work for. Or they just don't care since they figure they can lie their way out of this come election time. I say not this time you idiots your done!
