St. Lawrence Avenue, Water Street to close Wednesday

From the city of Janesville

St. Lawrence Avenue between South Main Street and South Water Street and South Water Street between East Van Buren and St. Lawrence Avenue are scheduled to be CLOSED TO THROUGH TRAFFIC beginning around 7 a.m. Wednesday morning. Both roadways are expected to be open by late Wednesday afternoon.

In the event of inclement weather, the work would be rescheduled for the following day. Traffic will not be detoured around the closure for this project. Local access to driveways will be maintained throughout the closure.

A private contractor will be repairing a water main valve in the middle of the intersection of St. Lawrence Avenue and South Water Street. For questions, contact Dennis Ryan, Senior Engineer, at 755-3171.
