MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Disposing of old computer parts just got a little easier in Wisconsin.

Many Goodwill donation centers in the state started taking old computer equipment this week through the Dell-Reconnect recycling program.

Computers, monitors, printers, hard drives, and other parts are now accepted.

Maureen Roche at Goodwill Industries of South Central Wisconsin says they'll take any brand of computer in any condition. And, just like any donation, customers can get a receipt for tax purposes.

Great, now I can get rid of the Commodore 64 and get a faster computer! Maybe one with a hard drive and a color monitor?

I'm glad the Janesville store will take old computers. It's on my list of hot shopping destinations.

Opps, I see it's an AP story. Still, you'd think a local paper would check with a local store oh well!!

It's just how the sales districts are divided up. It causes minor cofusion, but don't sweat the small stuff. Goodwill in Janesville still does great work and serves its community!! I wonder why the gazette would bother running something from a Madison store instead of the Jaensville store.

Is there that big of a difference between "southcentral" and "southeastern"? They both stink.

All these years I've been proudly telling people I live in South Central Wisconsin, and I really live in Southeastern Wisconsin? How embarrassing! I wonder who I should be voting for now?

Looks like the Janesville locations are in the Goodwill of SouthEASTERN Wisconsin. Nevertheless, the Holiday Drive store is a participating dropoff location.

Will the Janesville Goodwill take this equipment? I didn't see it listed on Goodwill's South Central Wisconsin website.
