Administrators leaving, principals leaving, teachers leaving. Not only does the board micromanage, the give teachers an insulting offer that treats them more like 5 year olds than professionals. The teachers' proposal is all about work conditions, and saving good teachers. If I was Dr. Salerno, I'd jump ship before the 3 year contract battle that could tear this district apart.

What a loss!! Just attend a Board meeting and watch how some members micromanage everything and how they treat administrators. We are in for some rough times ahead!!

Dr. Salerno has been a tremendous asset to the school district. He is professional, courteous, thorough, and innovative. Good luck in La Crosse, Steve!

It has very little to do with Dr. Schulte and a great deal to do with the School Board, the environment they have created within the school district and how they conduct themselves with administrators and others. You have probably not seen the last of the departures.

petunia, do people in the school district dislike her enough to pack up and leave town? I have been reading that she is making changes, but do you have an inside story as to what is going on?

Dr. Schulte sure is cleaning house, isn't she? And she didn't even have to do anything but become superintendant! I wonder how many more will follow?

Marshall Middle School was not the same without him this year. Good luck in La Crosse!
