Canceled Democratic fundraiser back on
MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A fundraiser for Democratic lawmakers in the Wisconsin Assembly canceled last month amid criticism over its timing during budget debate has been rescheduled for Monday.
Democratic Assembly leaders initially defended the $1,000-a-head golf outing saying it didn’t violate a new rule they passed forbidding fundraising by individual lawmakers during budget debate. The fundraiser was organized by the Assembly Democratic Campaign Committee.
After the event drew criticism, the event was canceled.
The budget was signed into law on June 29. Now, three weeks later, the golf outing is back on at the Wilderness Resort in Wisconsin Dells. While it’s $1,000 per golfer, a foursome can play for the discount rate of $3,750.

I think they should hold their fundraiser in the same method they formulated the budget; behind closed doors in secret meetings.

I do not need to explain myself to anyone. If you need my comments explained, then you are lost. Regardless, I will try to help you.
How in the world can Democrats justify charging $1,000 a person when Wisconsin has a huge deficit and our national economy is in shambles? The answer is that they cannot justify this. Greed is the reason. I would say the same for the Republicans too.

So now it's wrong to hold fundraisers OUTSIDE of the budget period? Would you care to explain?

If you are a Democrat, you should be ashamed of your representatives. This event is an outrage! No joke either!
