From the WCLO newsroom:

A program on heroin abuse in Rock County is so popular, its organizers say it's standing room only.

Marv Wopat, Partners in Prevention board member, says the program's speaker has an excellent reputation for his discussions on heroin addiction. Speaker Mike McGowan is a former administrator of a chemical addictions treatment facility.

Wopat says Rock County's heroin epidemic takes over families and destroys people's lives. He says Wednesday's program will help people learn how to help their family members.

The program is scheduled for the Rock County Job Center. It starts at noon.

Not to be negative, and that isn't what my intent is here, but heroin abusers use these programs to aid their addiction, not stop it. I am sure there are a few who really want the help, but in my opinion, and from experience with family members, this should only be administered in an inpatient scenerio. The good intentions are there, but a drug addict will use every vice they can to get a drug. My brother probably knows more about drugs than a pharmacist.

I am confused. Is program to teach you how to abuse Heroin? And do you have to bring your own Heroin or do they supply it?
