DARIEN--The Darien Village Board has rescheduled a closed-session meeting that was planned for tonight.

The meeting will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Darien Public Library, 47 Park St., Darien.

The board planned to talk in closed session tonight about negotiations that apparently have been ongoing between DeVoy’s attorney and attorneys for the village, President Evelyn Etten said.

The board also planned to talk about a personnel issue, Etten said.

Etten and village attorney David Danz said it was OK to post the meeting with only two hours notice because of “exigent” circumstances.

But at least one person complained, and the meeting time was changed, Etten said.

When this is all over, village residents should begin the process for dissolving the Village of Darien and revert back to the Town of Darien government. Capable governance seems unobtainable within the village.

Craig, Debi and Evie were EXCLUDED from Dennison's "phone poll" re: a settlement offer to chief DeVoy!

Now why would McCue want to stop the meeting? THAT does not make sense! He was 1 of the 3 left out!

I was in the back of a restaurant yesterday morning when Mr McCue came in.( I don’t think he knew I was there) The whole place could hear him tell one cronies at the counter that he was going to stop that meeting.
