Police seek information about injured man found on Beltline near Interstate

MADISON—Dane County authorities are seeking information about an accident that took place early Sunday near the intersection of the Beltline and Interstate 90/39 in Blooming Grove Township on Madison’s southeast side.

Dane County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded at 2:53 a.m. to a report of a possible body on the side of the road, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.

Deputies found an injured 22-year-old man on the shoulder of westbound Highway 12/18 just west of I-90/39.

The man appears to have fallen out of a moving vehicle, the release stated.

He was transported to a Madison hospital with serious head injuries.
