Madison, Milwaukee ranked high for safe drivers
MILWAUKEE (AP) — An insurance company ranks Madison and Milwaukee in the top 20 on its national list of cities with the best drivers.
Allstate Insurance Co. ranked Madison 13th and Milwaukee 19th on its list, released Wednesday.
The rankings are based on how frequently drivers in the nation's 200 largest cities are involved in collisions
Allstate says Madison drivers get into accidents about once every 11.6 years. In Milwaukee, drivers average one collision every 11.2 years.
The top-ranked city was Sioux Falls, S.D. Drivers there average nearly 14 years between collisions.
The analysis was based on Allstate claim data in 2006 and 2007.
The company says it's providing the information to encourage drivers to be vigilant, not to set insurance rates.

I said this on another post and I'll say it again. I would rather drive in Chicago than in Madison. Those people are RUDE and have no concept of what to do at a red light.

What's a "lib mith" -- the newspaper reporting actual accidents, or the insurance companies reporting actual statistics? I'd love to hear you explicate this line of reasoning.
