Marijuana operation uncovered
WAUKESHA -- Drug officers are calling the discovery of an indoor marijuana-growing operation in Mukwonago Township the most elaborate and sophisticated found in Waukesha County.
The operation was capable of producing three crops per year, Waukesha County Metropolitan Drug Enforcement Unit Commander Capt. Charles Wood said. The current crop was valued at more than $100,000, he said.
The father and son, ages 64 and 44, who are linked to the property, face charges of theft and manufacturing controlled substances, Wood said. They have not been arrested.
The Metro Drug unit searched the residence on Sugden Road on July 2.
More than 100 marijuana plants, along with fertilizer, growing supplies, and literature on growing marijuana were seized from the home, according to the search warrant.
The residence was modified solely for the growing of marijuana, including an extensive exhaust system, an elaborate watering system with several hundreds of gallons of fertilized water and at least 16 electrical ballasts for supporting vented lighting. Doors were reinforced with steel plating and windows were covered to prevent entry or detection, Wood said.
There was no working plumbing in the residence, and neither of the suspects were living in the residence, Wood said.
A town of Waterford residence linked to the men was also searched. Marijuana and growing supplies were also seized from the Racine County residence, according to the search warrant.
Wood estimates the operation was going on for three years and was discovered after law enforcement received an anonymous tip.

We need to make all cannabinoids illegal including the ones that exist naturally in your brain and help you to ah...ah...ah oh yeah forget. Its a non-toxic plant that people like to vilify because it makes them feel good about themselves.

you are not completely incorrect. uncle sam ONLY has the rights to study marijuana. and im sure they dont have an special interest groups best interest in mind when they choose to, or choose not to reveal whatever info they found. a guy in canada claims to have CURED several skin cancer patients with hemp oil. studies have shown non-psycoactive cannabanoids in THC have halted the spread of breast cancer. im sure that if uncle sam found this info for himself he would share it with us right?? big pharm cant have that much control over him?? wish i wasnt workin cuz a hitter rite now would make that thought a bit funny instead of absolutely disgusting.

one more question. you say as far as high driving goes it could be worse. have you ever been completely drunk?? i mean black out or pass out drunk?? if i conceded that pot did those things, which it does not, how could it be worse than that??

justaguy you have no idea who i am or what whacked is. you acknowledge that its not as bas as alcohol...so just answer my question. why is alcohol legal??
it was 1937 and they passed the law requiring you to obtain a marijuana tax stamp to grow or possess marijuana. its not that they couldnt figure out how to tax it. they simply wanted to 'prohibit' its usage without having to pass a constitutional amendment. the marijuana tax stamp act was actually repealed in 1969 because the tax stamp was technically possible to get, but you had to already be a legal grower/possesser so the courts ruled against it cuz you had to break the law to make the law. in 1970 they passed the controlled substances act which labeled marijuana as a schedule 1 narcotic which meant 'high risk of abuse and no known medical use'. both of which we KNOW now is complete bs. that is why i cant possess it now. if they lowered it to a schedule 2 narcotic(which is where cocaine is) a dr could prescribe it in certain situations. if they would lower it to a schedule 3 narcotic(which is where they classify SYNTHETIC thc) any dr could prescribe it. if they would remove it from the narcotics schedule, same as alcohol, then it would become a more than viable employment, revenue, and tax base. you people know your history...THE EXACT SAME THING HAPPENED WHEN THEY REPEALED ALCOHOL PROHIBITION. which was repealed during the great depression for a...wait for it...REVENUE AND TAX source. so laugh if you want about the possibility of a legal or de-criminalized marijuana bill floatin across prez obamas desk but its happening.
i wonder if id be just as whacked out if this drug was legal...

Hey,
MArijuana is only Illegal because of the tax stamp. It became illegal because of the inability to accuratly tax it in 193? so why is it on the NIDA top 5 NARCOTIC list? It is proven to be non addictive(the definition of a narcotic) The FBI has even stopped testing for it in the pre employment process. Smoked through water, it has entirely benifical properties. It stays illegal because the gov can make more money that way

hankhill: That comment was mostly meant for thekid, I really don't care who does what but when it comes to getting behind the wheel of an auto when high or drunk then it kind of concerns me, I do know people who smoke pot and like I said before i've never seen it do any good.I've seen a girl with her face beaten from her high husband and i've seen a coworkers wife move out of there house ... she was tierd of her pothead husband being too "relaxed" all the time and wasting money on pot. I've seen coworkers come into work with slits barely open you'd call eyes and you'd have to do your work plus theirs because they also were too "relaxed" I also know you can buy it just about anywheres, that was meant for thekid also .... i'm betting he's wacked most of the time now and just waiting for it to become legal so he can start saving some money.

but i can promise you that something will go down. silly arrests like your friend who is in prison. why is he there?? selling a plant to adults?? how is he any dift than someone serving beer to adults who chose to consume it?? if i got my way and pot was legal your friend would still be a free man running a legitimate business(like the thousands of bars in this state) paying income and sales tax. justaguy you say that it wont bring out the bad as much as alcohol. then why is alcohol legal?? why is the worse one, or the 'eviler of two evils' completely legal for anyone over the ripe age of 21 but i as a responsible parent, employee, and tax paying citizen can not legally chose to get high??
im not trying to mix my words or anything around. but those are the facts. no one has EVER died from the direct use of marijuana. its impossible. thats not so for alcohol and MANY other currently prescribable man made drugs.

I don't need it but let me guess if you don't already smoke it .... I have never seen pot do any good but I have seen what it can do to a family gmaof3: you said it just right when you brought up the calming relaxing and also sleepy mode pot puts you in, you get those potheads in a car all relaxed and they'll end up killing someone ... but it also will bring out the bad in people also, not as commen as drinkers maybe but it does happen. justaguy: that is an INDIRECT death. if someone smokes as much pot as their body allows and stays on the couch there is NO CHANCE OF ANYONE DIEING. if however that same person decides to consume as much alcohol as their body would allow and stay on the couch the user could still die, die from the drug or die from the users choices after they consume the drug. direct vs indirect but its hard to debate the blind so believe what you want. and its so unlike the blind to start calling me names and trying to put me down cuz of my knowledge about pot. if i havent smoked in a year does that make what i say any less true?? you peeps really think that WHEN its legal all the sudden peeps are gonna start smokin it in large amounts and getting behind the wheel. lmao. justaguy and jugofwhiskey...serious question...WHEN its legal will either of you smoke marijuana??

ok... Here's the difference.
When there is a party with alcohol as the "drug of choice", the level of aggression is elevated. Very few us can say there are not some who turn into insane creeps who must "flex" their DRUNK muscles. For some reason, booze turns people into moronic superheros or pissy people, argumentative and "in your face". Or simply lose of all morals and who knows whose bed they'll end up in.
Marijuana... for the most part, if not mixed with anything else, is a calming, relaxing experience. I would bet that most partakers are perfectly content with a J and a movie.
Granted... the munchies definitely boost the snack industry's bottom line.
But I must agree, marijuana has never killed someone by its own demise. I also ABSOLUTELY believe that it DOES NOT lead to harsher drugs. The drug culture itself and peer pressure from others, push that envelope. Marijuana on its own, is harmless.
Just my humble opinion.
When I was in high school - we had to watch this moronic movie called "Scared Straight". Talk about hysteria!!! It was the generation of my parents that were freaked out! According to this "melodrama" some kid smoked a joint, then someone has a gun then...
Just foolishness.
Alcohol, cocaine, heroin, meth,
cigarettes, antidepressants and those "sister pills" like Valium, etc. to name a few... they are all "processed" drugs.
Marijuana is Mother Earth's natural high. At 50 years old, I don't understand why its such a big deal. Seems to be the same hysteria as in the 50's.

Actually coach, the current OWI laws apply to driving under the influence of THC (pot) as well as any other drug / intoxicant. That includes "implied consent" to test blood, breath or urine.
Granted, a person may refuse to submit to such test, but under certain circumstances... when the offense is a criminal offense as opposed to a civil offense, ie: causing injury while under the influence....urine or blood may be taken as evidence without consent.

What all these pot promoters ignore is that it is illegal to take urine or hair samples without concent. (so says the US Supreme Court) So that means NO WAY to test if someone is driving high. You think we have a drunk driving problem, legalize dope and we'll be killing people by the thousands with all the high people driving around the state.
