Janesville firefighter injured after responding to blaze
JANESVILLE—A Janesville firefighter was injured Sunday afternoon while responding to a house fire.
The fire was reported at 5:41 p.m. Sunday at 2214 S. Grant Ave., according to a Janesville Fire Department news release.
A firefighter, Justin Wiskie, 28, was injured, according to the news release.
Wiskie was treated at Mercy Hospital in Janesville and released.
Gary and Deborah Koeberl owned the one-story home, according to the news release.
The home had $78,000 in damage, according to the news release, and items damaged inside the home were valued at $20,000.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

I live right next door and I am lucky the fire was on the other end of there house. I also might of sustained damage. The fire fighters did a great job of putting it out quickly. Everyone got out safe including there pets. I hope people would also take fire safety seriously in their own home. This is how fast someones life can change.

Don't want to talk for Ted, but it looks like his info is coming from a news release from the fire dept. I'm sure during his "normal" working hours he will "investigate" and update the article.
