Last day for public works director
From the WCLO newsroom:
Jack Messer commemorates his last day as Janesville's Public Works Director Friday.
He says roundabouts aren't a radical change, but a new way to deal with an old problem. Although city councilman Bill Truman jokingly gave Messer packing tubes for his roundabout plans, Messer says it's likely more roundabouts will be built in Janesville in the future. Specifically, the State Department of Transportation could incorporate roundabouts into the expansion of Interstate 90 and build them at the bottom of on and off ramps.
Messer says one of his biggest accomplishments during his time in Janesville is response to last summer's flooding. He says it was a problem no one had experienced in Janesville, and public works crews provided a service to the city during a critical time.

Ok, I'll try again. He will NOT be missed by many city employees. He pitted employees against each other, wasted a lot of time & taxpayers' money and nothing became of all the meetings. Good Riddance!

Mr. Messer, I only hope the new director can fill your shoes, though I think it might be some time before that happens. Best wishes to you!
