Police: Man pulls knife at Clinton gas station
Police have arrested a man who they say pulled a knife on a stranger at Citgo gas station, 505 Peck Ave., Clinton.
Clinton police Sgt. Ed Fairchild said George R. Erdmann, 48, of 4544 E. Highway 14, Janesville, pulled a knife on a Clinton man at about 9:50 a.m. because he thought the man was insulting him.
The Clinton man told Erdmann he didn't mean any harm, Erdmann put the knife away and both went into the store, Fairchild said. Erdmann drove away as police were being called, Fairchild said.
The Rock County Communications Center alerted local units, and the Wisconsin State Patrol found Erdmann at B&J Storage, 4704 Drott Drive, Janesville, Fairchild said. He was arrested on charges of carrying a concealed weapon, disorderly conduct while armed and failure to obey a stop sign, Fairchild said.

sysco...self defense? The best self defense we have is called common sense. Is that what this world is coming to? People need to take stock in their own actions. Mr. Erdmann has probably spent too much time in front of the boob tube like the rest of mainstream America has. When you get dummed down enough, you start believing everything you see in fantasy land and acting it out in real life. SAD!

George has been a troubled soul for years it appears. I'm glad no one was injured.
