Rock County Board approves equal amounts for parks, conservation
From the WCLO newsroom:
Rock County parks and land conservation programs will split environment impact fees from American Transmission Company evenly.
The Rock County Board debated the county's role in farmland preservation, and how much to spend on parks. After eight citizens spoke unanimously in favor of splitting the $1.8 million in half, the County Board amended its resolution and the majority decided an even distribution would be fair. Supervisors Arnold, Ott, Yankee and Bussie voted no, with Supervisors Mawhinney and Joiner absent. The funding is provided by ATC due to upgrades throughout the county.
