Based on what I have been reading for months and hearing from family who live there, there are some serious "politically motivated" problems in Darien. There is a need for an infusion of new ideas. I'm sorry the recount did not benefit you but I hope you try again.
Keep the faith.

WiSpedTeacher: If what you say is true it sounds like there are so many conflicts of interest there that a recount won't do any good. Just the same, good luck.

I just filed papers for a re-count!
1) The voting machine was down for an unspecified amount of time in the am..voters were asked to fill out their ballots and leave them to be submitted in the machine at a later date.
2) Mr. Putman's wife is on the election's committee and takes ballots.
3) Several people were at the village hall while ballots and boxes were brought in after the board meeting. The polling stations were set up by Mrs. Kaufenberg and her husband..
4) Some voters left without casting their votes in the AM, do not know if they returned..
5)Not sure if absentee ballots were counted.

Does anyone know about this Cheryl Holmes, is she for the people or is she one of the puppets placed in the running by the good ole boys? Would like to see some crudentials and Ideas from her. I voted for Wisped and need a new 3rd person, cause we will be no better off if Kaufenberg and Puttman get in. Puttman is a big reason the village is broke, and Kaufenberg has her own personal Agenda.

The Village needs a change...and choosing between people who really don't care and people who don't know is an obstacle we all need to think about.
