MADISON -- The sendoff ceremony for the Wisconsin Army National Guard's 32nd Brigade could mean traffic backups on Madison's beltline and near the Dane County Coliseum on Tuesday, the Dane County Sheriff's Office is warning.

The sendoff for the approximately 3,200 soldiers is planned from noon until about 2 p.m. Tuesday.

About 80 buses will leave the coliseum via Olin Avenue and John Nolan Drive at about 2 p.m., according to a sheriff's office news release.

"The majority of the traffic is expected to go eastbound on Highway 12/18, which may cause some congestion and delays," the release states.

The sheriff’s office suggests motorists avoid the area Tuesday afternoon or allow extra time to reach their destinations.

The event is not open to the public. Only individuals with tickets will be allowed in. Wisconsin Public Television and some radio stations will carry the program live.

Then why hasn't our esteemed, "change you can believe in",worshipped leader (Obama) done it if he thinks it was wrong??? I'll believe it when I see the change!

I would just like to know who appointed the United States the world police?? We are leaving ourselves vulnerable here when we send all our troops to foreign places. I don't think the answer is to pull out right now since we're there, but to make an effort to pull us out gradually. That's what Obama promised and now he's sending more there! Where is his outrage over this war that he had during the campaign?? He said he was going to get us out of it! One of the many things he promised on the campaign trail that he won't follow through with. God Bless our troops, may he keep them safe!

I saw the buses heading out of the coliseum parking lot. It was absolutely amazing and heartwrenching to see that many buses full of our troops. Thank you to all of them, and you are in my thoughts!

Thank you troops! laying your life on the line for your country-Awesome!! I appreciate your unselfish sacrifice for my freedoms! Now if we could just get the politicians and President to be just as patriotic! Maybe they would see the country in a whole new light and really serve!

A little traffic isn't going to hurt anyone when you compare it to the sacrifice these troops and their families are making. Come home safe men and women.

Where I'd be going is not nearly as important as supporting the troops who, by choice, put their lives on the line to protect us!!! I love each and every one of you that serve so selfishly!!
