Mayor Erik Thompson will not ask the Edgerton City Council to let him appoint a chairperson for a new economic development committee at tonight's meeting, Administrator Ramona Flanigan said.

As reported Saturday, Thompson said he was going to talk to the council about the new committee at tonight's meeting, but he has since decided he needs more time to think about the idea, Flanigan said.

The committee would help the city apply for the state's Main Street Program.

Flanigan expects the issue to appear on the agenda at the Monday, March 2, meeting, she said.
