MADISON, Wis. (AP) — More than 3,000 Wisconsin soldiers deploying to Iraq will get a big send-off in Madison on Tuesday.

About 3,200 Wisconsin Army National Guard soldiers and their families will be honored during a noon ceremony at the Alliant Energy Center.

Gov. Jim Doyle, lawmakers, mayors and National Guard officials will take part in praising the soldiers for their sacrifices. Music will be provided by an Army Band as well as the University of Wisconsin Marching Band.

After the event, soldiers will report to Fort Bliss in Texas by March 1.

The soldiers with the 32nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team will deploy for a tour of duty in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

I to have a son going over I am very proud of him and what he stands for, I have faith in his training and commitment to the United States of America and his strong work ethics and I will be waiting at home for him when he returns, But I will not ask anyone for there support to me thats like begging if a person whats to support him and his effort and that of all the other Brave Men, Women , Boys and Girls that are standing on there own two feet for this Country I say Thank you and will gladly except that support. And for those people that want to slander these fine young men and women and say anything bad about them I can only say I hope you find the peace we all hope to have and I forgive you

My husband is the 1st Sgt of the unit and there are good NCOs and good men and women underneath him. They have good morale and are anxious to go over and do their job. Pleas give them the support they deserve and please do not forget about them. Also keep them in your prayers.

my grandson will be one of the soldiers going. Please even if you do not believe in the war, support the soldiers. They did not enlist because of the money, they are proud of their country and wanted to protect us. STAY SAFE
