Power back on to 600 Janesville homes
JANESVILLE--A broken transformer cut power briefly to 600 Janesville houses, an Alliant Energy spokesman said.
Most of the outage was south of Racine Street near the Janesville Ice Skating Center.
The power came back on about 7:55 p.m.

I aint going to blame anyone for the power outage.....there seems to be enough of that going around but a 60% increase that I just might be able to beleive!! LOL everyone STAY SAFE!! had $42 dollars before I started typing and now down to $ 38.. cost me that much in electicity to type this .......LOL and that's not even close to 60% LOL

This incident was totally unrelated to the plan to have the city subsidize Skate-n-Schlitz nights, I mean Hockey-n-Hamms nights, for the young folk at the Ice Arena!
