STEVENS POINT — A campus official at UW-Stevens Point said a 19-year-old student has died.

Bob Tomlinson, vice chancellor for student affairs, said in a statement that the student was found unresponsive early Saturday morning in Thomson Hall, a residence hall on campus.

The student was taken to an emergency room, where he died a short time later.

Tomlinson said the death is under investigation, but foul play isn’t suspected.

WSAW-TV in Wausau reported the man attended Random Lake High School and was to graduate from UW-Stevens Point in 2012.
