From the WCLO newsroom:

A manufacturing course at Blackhawk Technical College is getting a little recognition Friday from the Department of Workforce Development Secretary.

DWD spokesman Dick Jones says Secretary Roberta Gassman will visit the BTC campus to award certificates of achievement to workers who completed the rigorous Manufacturing Skill Standards Certification Program.

The course helps students understand the entire process of manufacturing including safety, processes, production quality and measurement, and maintenance awareness.
