Wausau Paper cuts 60 salaried jobs
MOSINEE, Wis. (AP) — Wausau Paper has cut 60 salaried jobs at nine facilities because of a slowdown in orders over the last five months.
Company spokesman Perry Grueber says the move affected 50 workers and will keep 10 positions from being filled.
Grueber says the permanent job cuts were spread across the Mosinee-based paper manufacturer's nine existing facilities.
The company also announced in December it would close a plant in Appleton by the end of 2009, eliminating 90 jobs as part of a project that will consolidate and streamline operations.
Wausau Paper employs about 1,500 workers.

Gee, these places are cutting back and/or closing before I can even get my resume faxed off to them!
