KMAN: I'd like to know where I made a personal attack on you? I just said I was glad I didn't live in your world. It was you who went into the personal attack mode about my spelling, grammar and your use of my name. You seem to have alot of anger when you can't handle a debate. Maybe you should stick to the story at hand and not worry what I say about scum that sell drugs, you will lose that debate. Maybe you'd like to live near people like this but not I, and your last blog tells it all ... your a very immature person. Get some help for your anger, your life might be better.

kman53: What's funny is that your definition of insanity comes directly from the rooms of Marijuana Anonymous, Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, Cocaine Anonymous, etc. I would bet that a good share (if not a majority) of those involved in recovery are against the legalization of marijuana. We will never know for sure, however, as these groups do not take a stance on outside (public) issues.

molly , i was comparing weed to coke as there is no money it compared to Coke , a educated guess is these folks were not selling weed ! that weed was for them to smoke lol They were selling the Coke . But the ones that they got the Coke from is where are Crime Fighting Super Heroes should be looking , but since i am reading of a half ounce bust and not Kilo bust i can only assume its the age ole story of the big one that got away.

Molly- although it is about money, even if there were ridiculous penalties for dealing, then the supply would decrease-but that would only drive demand up disproportionately. What you could get would cost more because those who do have it aren't giving it away. California is in dire need of any help it can get, which is why it's medicinal and not recreational use that is getting okd. you get to bust big timers because its still illegal unless you have proper documentation, and you get the benfits of tax from those who are buying it, and those selling it. It's kind of a funny little tip-toe to watch both sides meeting in the middle because both the government and the dealers profit from keeping it illegal recreationally and legal medicinally. Plus it gives a nice middle ground for recreational users to get a prescription of medical weed. Basically medical keeps everyone pretty happy, if you're determined you can probably get a doctors note, and if you're the government it's still illegal federally, technically, so you can change your stance and do all the busts you want when the next administration comes in. It's very much on the fence in terms of long term legalities, I think.

Kman is right, as far as I know anytime you get any sort of drug charge for trafficking or selling or intent to distribute they take your money because its all considered drug money.

And kids grow up into adult and older drug dealers-they are usually the ones who are higher up, the longer someones around the more people they meet and connections they get. If cops were trying to "win" the war on drugs they would get suppliers suppliers. A half ounce of coke is practically a negligible amount. Im not going to say this bust was useless, but it sure isn't going to stop anyone from stepping in and getting more customers. Why don't we ever hear about big busts? With all the heroin in rock county, you know theres got to be big fish out there. Pretty much backs kmans claims of keeping the little fish out there because everyone knows it's easier to reel in 20 bluegills than one northern pike. Well, wisconsinites get the reference anyways =)

Why is the amount of cash on hand always noted? Is cash illegal? Are they assuming it was obtained unlawfully? Just curious...

The weed in my opinion is no big deal i could throw a rock in any direction in Rock County and hit some one with an ounce of weed, there's no money in weed . But a 1/2 ounce of coke that's a pretty solid connection i hope the the Law Enforcement Officers were watching where it came from, because there is some one out there with a whole lot more. Cheers Rock County another lil fish bust. There is Sooo much money in coke makes me wonder if any of that cash is finding its way into Leo's pockets for not finding the Trophy Fish . Ohhh wait this is Rock County ...That could never happen here in Gods Country.

kman53. Your last comment was inappropriate. What does pending charges for a previous deputy sheriff have to do with this story. Remember innocent until proven guilty. It may be a hard concept to grasp for some, but the comments are irrelevant here and have nothing to do with the story.

What is with these "older" people messing around with drugs? Maturity must come at a later stage for others....
