A Friday accident in Jefferson County left two people hospitalized with unknown injuries.

At 12:40 p.m. the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and public safety officials from eight other agencies responded to an accident south of Cambridge at Highway 12 near Oakland Road.

Initial investigation showed that a 2002 Dodge van driven by Aiden F. Allen, 17, of Madison was westbound on Highway 12 when it crossed the centerline and hit a semi trailer truck driven by Werni Harder, 29, of Manitoba.

Neither the driver of the truck, or his passenger, Orlando Fehr, 27 of Manitoba, were injured. Allen, 17, was transported to University Hospital by Med Flight. His passenger, Mark K. Allen, was reported transported for medical attention.

Condition reports for the injured men were not available.

The accident remains under investigation.
