Darien duo detained in drug bust
Walworth County sheriff's authorities arrested Thursday night a Darien duo moving "substantial amounts" of cocaine in the community, according to the case's chief investigator.
Walworth County sheriff's Sgt. Jeff Patek said the arrest follows months of investigations.
Patek said Roberto and Jorge Quinonez, father and son, are likely one of the main suppliers of cocaine in the area. They will be each charged with several counts of delivery of cocaine and party to delivery of cocaine, Patek said.
Jorge's mother, who lived with Roberto and Jorge, will not be charged, Patek added.

And yet concerns are still being left at the wayside on other important issues in Darien.

Hi Yah-All, how’s it going? My, my, it seems some of you have your “truss in a bundle” over the cocaine bust. It certainly is great that the WCSO got the bad guys. What would we do without them? I do have one question, why was Darien officer BM asked to back off by the WCSO while doing investigative work on the same guys? Do you really think "the old chief" would have gotten the nod to proceed? Why would they want to share, again? Oh yes, they don’t like MM and the WCSO loves “the old chief”, I forgot. Have a talk with BM and if he is a “good” officer as I think he is, he will tell you that he was asked to back off to let the WCSO proceed. So, as usual, pile on MM. You have to keep under mining the village on behalf of SD. Good job!
FYI, I am not currently a trustee; for that matter, I am not related to anyone that is or has been a trustee.

The son has a prior for same offense. He got 8 years probation, which will be revoked. He'll probably end up with around 4 years or so in prison. First offense for dad, so he'll probably end up with probation.
