Call now to be on the no-call list
Here’s a deadline you don’t want to miss: The cut off for the state’s “no-call list” is Monday, Aug. 31. Consumers can always sign up later, but they will not be added to the list until Jan. 1.
To place your number on the list, go to NoCall.Wisconsin.gov or call, toll free, 1-866-966-2255 (1-866-9No-Call). This website and number are available 24 hours a day.
Consumers must sign up every two years. If you are not certain that you signed up within the last two years, you should sign up again to be sure you are not dropped from the list.
For more consumer information, or to file a consumer complaint, contact the Bureau of Consumer Protection on the Web at www.datcp.state.wi.us, by e-mail at DATCPHotline@wi.gov; or call the toll free at 1-800-422-7128.

Why should I have to pay $9.00 to keep people from bothering me? It should be free.

political calls should be on the no call list first. they are the most annoying calls on the planet. but in politics, as usual, the politicians put themselves FIRST.

How about just making it illegal for telemarketer to call anyone UNLESS they sign up for a list to take telemarketing calls? And this should include any political calls also.

The website in the second paragraph is correct (it redirects to sannio's link). The website in the last paragraph is the department home page, which contains a link to the No Call list site in the right column.
