Station donating Favre jerseys to homeless
MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A Wisconsin radio station is asking angry Packers fans to reconsider dumping their Brett Favre gear.
Two talk show hosts at WTDY in Madison are collecting old Favre sportswear and donating it to the homeless.
Dan Deibert and Kurt Baron call themselves the Wisconsin Guys. They're collecting Favre jerseys, hats and sweat shirts as part of a "4 The Poor Jersey Drive."
They say burning, shredding and running over Favre gear are all "pretty good ideas." But they say a better idea is donating the "useless" clothes to a Twin Cities homeless shelter so they don't go to waste.
Donors will be entered into a drawing for tickets to the Packers-Vikings game in Green Bay on Nov. 1.
The station will deliver the gear before the Oct. 5 matchup in Minnesota.

I agree with part of what garyprimer wrote, "Are they crazy? What a lousy trick to play on the homeless." So true.
Hey! Why don't we collect that garbage and burn it in effigy this Fall. That way we can rid Wisconsin of a, dare I say, traitor and provide
some heat as well.*s*

Let's see....
Favre jerseys donated for the homeless.
And Favre plays for the hapless.
Works for me.

I guess you have to go all the way to the twin cities to find homeless people that will wear Favre Packer clothing.

They forgot to mention, this is a way for the city of Madison to identify the homeless population. This makes their annual count easier.

Are they crazy? What a lousy trick to play on the homeless. Dressing them up in Packer gear in Minnesota will put them in physical danger. The fans there are just as re: Todd Ed as the fans are here.

Have you heard the news? The Vikings are going to sue the federal government. Why? Because they haven't received their "cash-for-clunkers" rebate for their purchase of Brett Favre!
