AP source: Wis. Gov. Doyle won’t seek re-election
MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin Gov. Jim Doyle will not seek re-election in 2010, a person who was informed of the decision told The Associated Press on Saturday.
The source, who was not authorized to announce it, told The AP that Doyle, a Democrat, would make the announcement public in a Monday news conference and that he would serve out the rest of his second four-year term.
Doyle’s office had released a one-sentence statement Saturday saying he would announce his future plans Monday. Because he has not committed to seeking a third term, speculation has swirled that he would not run again. Doyle spokeswoman Carol Andrews would not comment beyond Saturday’s statement.
A number of Republicans already are running for governor, most notably Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker and former U.S. Rep. Mark Neumann. Expected Democratic candidates include U.S. Rep. Ron Kind, Lt. Gov. Barbara Lawton and Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett.

All of the idiots who voted for this pile of cow dung were just doing what their union told them to do. The damage that Doyle has done to Wisconsin will take years to fix. If it can be fixed at all. Time to clean house again folks and lets put some people in there who remember who they work for. The ones there now seem to have forgotten. A nice independent would be nice.

Great news - let's cross our fingers that this rumor is actually true. Yes chainsawchuckie, I imagine that the mob has already hand-picked Sheridan as the next governor.

Well all of you republican losers will be parting today. Now who are you going to complain about when Neumann gets in. Do you think he will do any better job of helping you complainers with all your problems. I think not.

No more support from the teacher's union or state employees, and he's amassed enough cash in his campaign fund to pocket it and retire.
.
The burning questions are:
1. Can lame Republican candidates Wacko Walker or Niemand Neumann beat Democratic Lt. Gov. Loser Lawton.
2. Could an Independent candidate with some integrity and common sense squeeze out a win over the corrupt, dysfunctional, two-faced one-party system currently mismanaging the State Legislature?

I'm NOT a drinking person per say,but i might just have one. Seeing he's ruined most everyone's lives here in Wisconsin,(except his buddies)i dread to think of who & where his next victims are. I really think besides his money he's making on the cig. taxes,he bought stock in cigs you know. I would love to see just how much money he "claims" to of made while in office. I am very glad he's going, but like a bad penny,i'm sure he'll show up somewhere again!

Not a huge surprise, because he probably wouldn't get re-elected anyway.
