Darien quiet about talks with police chief

DARIEN--The Darien Village Board on Tuesday night took no action in open session after a three-hour closed session meeting.

Fired Police Cheif Steve DeVoy and his attorney attended about half of the meeting.

Neither side would comment on the closed-session discussion, but attorneys for both sides said that Tuesday's meeting was not a negotiation session. Negotiations could take place in the future, the attorneys said.
