Milwaukee -- Prosecutors say a 13-year-old Milwaukee girl fatally stabbed a 48-year-old man in the neck in a dispute over milk in their north side house Saturday.

Milwaukee County prosecutors charged the girl on Monday with first-degree reckless homicide.

The criminal complaint says Robert Moon was attacked after he poured the last part of a gallon of milk down the kitchen drain instead of giving it to the teen for her cereal.

The attack happened about 3 p.m. Moon was pronounced dead at the scene. He was married to the teen’s grandmother.

A relative tells the Journal Sentinel that the family does not want to comment on the incident.

Brown is in custody. She’s scheduled to appear Tuesday afternoon in children’s court.

Nope, nothing funny here. Most things can be injected with some humor, but a 13 year old killing her Grandmother's husband with a knife stab to the neck doesn't strike me as funny.

Do some of you place a lesser value on some lives than others?

ab35ab, her name is being used in the Milwaukee media, so there's little point to concealing it here. Besides, the policy is usually to strictly avoid naming victims, but it's a little more flexible when you have a perpetrator and such a horrific crime. Brown has been charged as an adult and could be locked up for 60 years.

I may be reading the article wrong, but did this article use the last name of the teenager who allegedly committed the crime? I didn't think newspapers reported the names of juveniles? But then again, maybe they waived her into adult court.

First of this is the north side of Milwaukee. The area is very run down that this happened in. Read a Milwaukee paper and it givee the adress. I for one know working in the area it happened I would not be caught there after dark. You people that live in your Rose colored world need to wake up and see not every town has it the same way Janesville ha it there are places worse off where teens run out of control and have very little family life if any. Yes we have laws and such but most of the times in larger areas such as milwaukee unless somthing like this happens nothing is done

This is an unusual story because most cereal killers are male.

I guess she hasn't heard the old saying..."There's no sense killing over spilled milk."

Maybe grandma likes younger men?
But I agree what kind of family life and structure did she have to have that kind of anger issues.

I once took a tranquilizer dart to the jugular, and then I fell in a pool. That was crazy. But I didn't die.

Weird math...she's 13, living with grandma, who's married to a 48 year old guy...one could assume around the same age. Where's the parents and how old are they? No really, maybe 26? 26, now. hmmmmm.

I agree. Behavior like this does not happen overnight. I am sure she has been a "pain in the neck" for a long time.
